Injury Management
Injuries can occur across aspects of life ranging from sport and recreation to work and activities of daily living. Thorough examination of an individual’s injury is essential in determining an accurate diagnosis and therefore insuring that the appropriate treatment and guidance to managing the injury is applied. The early intervention of injuries can be important to the long-term welfare of the patient and their prognosis. The primary goals to be addressed with injury management are protection of the integrity of the involved injured tissue, restoration of range-of-motion within restrictions, diminishment of pain and inflammation, and the prevention of muscular inhibition.
